NEW YORK ROVERS ROBBED OF TITLE SUCCESS ! In a unbelievable table rigging rule bending decision by the SMJFL ! New York have been placed 2nd and robbed of the title success they earned on merit ! The metro in there wisdom chose to give the title outright to a team who could not complete there fixtures ! and a team new york took 3pts outta 4 against. This was a terrible end to new yorks 1st season ! A decision that was based on what might of happened if the metro's chosen champions had played there last fixture ! the rules from the onset were play all ya fixtures ! we did they didnt and changing or making rules to suit will not change the fact that new york finished top on the field of play , but do sympathise with the team that could not honour there fixtures ! with joint champions being the right and justful decision ! |
